Kristi Keya Saha is an Advocate of the District and Sessions Court, Dhaka and also called to the Bar of England and Wales as a Barrister-at-Law by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, UK, with more than 8 years of experience in litigation, dispute resolution, corporate & commercial, merger & acquisition, banking & finance, power & energy, public-private partnerships, policy advocacy. She holds an LLB from the University of London and completed the Bar Professional Training Course at Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK.
Kristi has practised with leading international and domestic law firms, chambers, international development organizations and INGOs, advising multinational companies, investors, businesses and public-sector institutions across a range of sectors. Her practice focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial transactions, banking and finance, regulatory and compliance matters, corporate governance, infrastructure and power and energy projects, dispute resolution and litigation. She has advised international clients on complex cross-border transactions in Bangladesh, including M&A, legal and regulatory due diligence, corporate structuring, regulatory approvals and compliance. Her sector experience includes power and energy, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals and ready-made garments, among others.
Kristi has particular expertise in regulatory reform and digital transformation. As Legal and Policy Specialist on the USAID Feed the Future Bangladesh Improving Trade and Business Enabling Environment Project, she played a leading role in the digital transformation of Bangladesh’s business registration system. She advised the Office of the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms and the Ministry of Commerce on the legal and regulatory framework for the new electronic business registration system, including the digitization and automation of corporate documentation, legislative reform, institutional change management and implementation. The initiative supported greater transparency and efficiency, reduced administrative burdens and facilitated business entry in Bangladesh.
Her contentious practice covers criminal, labour, commercial and civil litigation, arbitration, title and property disputes, writ petitions, criminal litigation, labour and intellectual property disputes. She advises on contractual, corporate and regulatory disputes, with a particular focus on strategic risk management, dispute prevention and enforcement.
