Biography
Asif Bin Anwar is the Managing Partner of Avon Chambers and a Lincoln's Inn Barrister. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales by Lincoln's Inn in 2008, enrolled as an Advocate of the Bangladesh Bar Council in 2009, enrolled to practise before the High Court Division in 2012, and the Appellate Division in 2024.
He has extensive experience in litigation, arbitration, corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, banking and finance, taxation, employment and labour law, intellectual property, telecommunications and information technology. He has appeared in civil, criminal, writ, company, corporate, commercial and admiralty matters before the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and advises clients on complex legal, regulatory and commercial issues.
Before establishing Avon Chambers, he served as Head of Chambers at Grays Chambers from November 2013 to June 2020. He also served as a Partner at Vertex Chambers, is currently an Of Counsel, and previously held senior positions at Chowdhury & Ullah and Khaled H Chowdhury & Associates.
