Biography
Radia Khandker is an Advocate practising before the District & Sessions Judge Court, Dhaka, with experience in Corporate & Commercial Law, Litigation and Arbitration.
She holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of London, an LL.M. from the University of South Wales, and completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) in the United Kingdom, receiving professional training in practical aspects of legal practice, including legal research, drafting, advocacy and professional practice. She has also undertaken specialised study in Private International Law at The Hague Academy of International Law, The Hague.
She began her legal career at the Attorney General’s Office of Bangladesh, where she served as the Office’s first legal intern and worked under former Attorney General of Bangladesh Md. Asaduzzaman. She subsequently served as Coordinator of the AGO–UNDP Internship Programme, contributing to legal research, programme coordination and professional development initiatives for young lawyers and law students.
At Avon Chambers, Radia is involved in corporate and commercial matters, litigation, public law and arbitration, with experience in legal research, drafting, advisory work and contentious matters.
She is the daughter of A.J. Mohammad Ali, the 12th Attorney General of Bangladesh and former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, and granddaughter of M.H. Khandker, the first Attorney General of Bangladesh. Coming from a longstanding legal family, she brings an appreciation of the profession’s traditions while developing her own practice and professional identity.
Her approach to legal practice is grounded in thorough legal analysis, careful preparation, integrity and practical advocacy.
